LIONELLA'S BACKGROUND
Lionella was born in Sierra Leone, a beautiful country on the West Coast of Africa, known for its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. Her journey to the United States began in 1997 when she immigrated at the age of 27 after a civil war broke out in Sierra Leone. The decision to leave her homeland was not an easy one, but it was necessary for her safety and future. Moving to the USA presented its own set of challenges, but Lionella embraced these challenges with determination and resilience. Her experiences as an immigrant have shaped her into the strong, resourceful, and compassionate person she is today. She is deeply proud of her Sierra Leonean heritage and carries the lessons and values from her upbringing with her as she navigates life in the United States.

Lionella Betts is an accomplished professional with a diverse skill set and extensive experience. She is a Nurse Executive, Author, Educator, Coach, and Speaker holding several degrees, including a Master’s in Nursing Leadership (MSN) and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). Lionella is also pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing and Education, demonstrating her dedication to lifelong learning and professional growth.
NURSE EXECUTIVE
Lionella's role as a Nurse Executive involves leading and overseeing various departments, including Complex Care Case Management, Behavioral Health and Social Issues, and the Early Intervention Program. She manages day-to-day operations and directly leads a team of RN Team Leads, RN Case Managers, Social Workers, and Case Management Coordinators, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of care to vulnerable populations.
AUTHOR
Lionella is passionate about writing and dedicates herself daily to crafting non-fiction works. Her primary subjects include Christianity, Life Experiences, Education, Entrepreneurship, and Nursing, which she collectively refers to as C.L.E.E.N. topics. Lionella is a two-time published author, with works that focus on her experiences as a nurse and her insights on personal development.
